dtangle

Questions

A few things to know.

What does dtangle track?

Activity across your apps and websites, grouped into the threads that make up your day.

Which platforms are supported?

The desktop app is available for macOS. Windows and Linux are coming soon.

Can I start for free?

Yes. The Free plan includes activity tracking, unlimited devices, 30 days of history and basic visualizations. No credit card is needed. See the plans.

Will it slow my Mac down?

dtangle runs in the background and is built to stay out of the way: it uses a fraction of one CPU core and a small, fixed amount of memory.

How are website addresses captured?

Through the dtangle browser extension, which reports the page you are on without polling your browser. Read how to install it.

What permissions does the desktop app need?

Accessibility, so it can read which window is in front and what it is called. Nothing is recorded from inside your screen. Read how to grant it.

Who can see my activity?

Only you. Your activity is tied to your account and is never shared or sold. Read the privacy policy.

How do I get in touch?

Email founders@dtangle.ai and you will reach me directly. There is no support queue and no form to fill in: tell me what dtangle read wrong or what you wish it did, and you will get a straight answer. See the contact page.

Still stuck? The extension and permissions guides cover the two things the app can detect but cannot fix for you. Anything else, write to me.
